In an interview with a British media, the frontwoman of The Pretenders slams some scantily-clad young pop stars and calls them 'porn stars trying to make records.'

Pop stars and porn stars are not too different for Chrissie Hynde. In a recent interview with London Evening Standard, the frontwoman of The Pretenders vented her frustration over some scantily-clad young musicians whom she said were selling sex before music.

"There's a definite division of what I'd call porn stars trying to make records, and then musicians," she said before comparing those stars to "real musicians" like Kate Bush. "[Bush] takes care of business the way she wants. If a girl walks on stage and starts playing like Jimi Hendrix, believe me, no one will be asking her to take her clothes off."

Hynde went on saying that artists are the ones who decide what they want to look like. "If anyone says, 'I have to do this because my record company told me,' that's a lie," she explained. "The artist is in control of what they're doing. You can always tell anyone to f**k off."

"If they're under pressure to get their kit off, maybe they should just be making porn films. Maybe they're in the wrong game," she added.

Hynde talked about pop stars in general in the interview without mentioning any name. However, her remarks came just a few days after actress Mayim Bialik slammed Ariana Grande for wearing lingerie to promote her new album "My Everything". Recently, Sinead O'Connor also blasted Miley Cyrus for wearing nothing but a pair of boots while swinging on a wrecking ball in her music video.
