Actress Daniele Watts, who made headlines for claiming that she was being detained after getting mistaken for a prostitute, has spoken out about the incident. On Sunday, September 14, the "Django Unchained" star maintained that she and her partner Brian James Lucas were only kissing in a car with the door open near CBS studios in the San Fernando Valley on Thursday, September 11.

She was sitting in her partner's lap when a man in a business suit approached them. "A Caucasian guy in a business suit comes downstairs and says, 'Can you guys stop putting on a show? I have people who are trying to work up there,' " Watts recalled, as reported by ABC30.

Minutes later, police officers arrived, saying that they received a report of an indecent exposure. The police then asked Lucas to show his ID and interviewed him. "How do you know her, what relationship, they were questions that quite frankly made me feel like that they were questioning me being like the client of a prostitute. He didn't say anything ever about that, I just felt that energy from it," he claimed.

"It occurred to me that he believed whoever called him and assumed that I was doing something lewd," Watts added. LAPD previously has released a statement explaining the incident, saying that an internal complaint investigation is underway regarding the matter.

In a new report, TMZ says that some people who work at the Directors Guild office building nearby told the police that Watts, who appeared on "How I Met Your Mother", "Criminal Minds" and "Castle" among others, and her partner were having sex in the car. He allegedly sat in the passenger seat and she was straddling him. The site has also obtained audio recordings from the incident which feature an officer talking to a really upset Watts.
