CBS has released a new promo for "The Good Wife" season 6 to tide fans over the show's return. Despite short, the video manages to share some juicy details from the next installment of the critically acclaimed series.

It opens with Eli (Alan Cumming) asking Alicia (Julianna Margulies) if she wamts to run for State's Attorney. "I'm never saying yes," she says, although Eli convinces her that she could win. Diane (Christine Baranski), meanwhile, pitches the merge of Florrick/Agos with Alicia's firm to make "the biggest firm in the country."

Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry), who was previously in competition with Alicia for a position at Lockhart Gardner, is less than thrilled about the idea. "I'm a name partner. You can't decide this without me," he says. Expect a lot of tension as the merge is made official with Alicia declaring, "We are now Florrick, Agos and Lockhart."

A longer promo has also landed online, showing Alicia and Finn Polmar (Matthew Goode) getting close, Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) and Sophia (Kelli Giddish) kissing, and Alicia having a heated conversation with Peter (Chris Noth).

"The Good Wife" returns with the new season Sunday, September 21 at 9 P.M. on CBS.
