Beside premiering "Manglehorn" at the Venice Film Festival, Al Pacino was also at the Lido to present "The Humbling". First trailer to the movie he personally calls tragic comedy has been released via Deadline.

The pic tells the story of a legendary stage actor, Simon, who has an affair with a lesbian woman half his age at a secluded country house in Connecticut. Based on Philip Roth's final novel, it is a tragic comedy about a man who has lived inside his own imagination for too long.

"He's lost his desire and I think that is a scary thing because he doesn't realize why," Pacino told Deadline. He saw that the movie brushed with reality in his life. "It's remarkable when you're on stage and you don't have your lines and you don't know what the next one is," he said. "It's the actor's recurring dream, but (Simon) is living it and sees it as a constant."

The film, which stars Greta Gerwig and Kyra Sedgwick, has no release date yet. Barry Levinson who directed Pacino in "You Don't Know Jack" stepped behind the lens.
