Nicky Hilton is reportedly engaged to her banker boyfriend, James Rothschild. A source tells Us Weekly that the 30-year-old fashion designer accepted James' proposal last weekend in Lake Como, Italy.
The source reveals, "They went on a romantic anniversary trip over the weekend. He took her out on a boat into the middle of Lake Como and he proposed, got down on one knee and everything. It was incredibly romantic and beautiful."
The source adds, "They are both really excited and incredibly happy." The insider tells the site, "Last month, [James] actually flew from England (where he is based) to the States to ask [Nicky's] parents for her hand in marriage!"
The source says that after the engagement "they are going on a road trip now throughout Europe and celebrating." Nicky has posted on Instagram some pictures from her Europe trip. So far, she and James have visited some destinations including Milan, Lake Como and Paris.
Nicky and James began dating after meeting at the nuptials of Petra Ecclestone and James Stunt in Italy in 2011.
