The Weinstein Company has released a clip of "The Giver" to tease Taylor Swift's supporting role in the movie. The country singer plays Rosemary, a past receiver that now only lives in the memory of Jeff Bridges' Giver.

In the clip, Rosemary bonds with The Giver over the piano as she teaches him some music. Brenton Thwaites' Jonas watches on as he uploads every memory of his dystopian, brainwashed community into his brain. "She's the one they all talk about," Jonas says as he recognizes her name.

"Taylor was so terrific," Bridges said of Swift. "Our scenes we had together - a lot of the scenes were at the piano, so both being lovers of music, we talked a lot of music and got to pick a little bit between set-ups." Katie Holmes who also stars in the film said, "She's so wonderful. She's so nice, so talented and so unbelievably talented."

Based on once-banned young adult novel by Lois Lowry, "The Giver" centers on Jonas who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, world of conformity and contentment. Yet as he begins to spend time with The Giver, who is the sole keeper of all the community's memories, Jonas quickly begins to discover the dark and deadly truths of his community's secret past.

"The Giver" was promoted at San Diego Comic-Con last month and will head into theaters across the nation on August 15. There's also another new clip focusing on Odeya Rush and Thwaites' scene.
