The new music by Guns N' Roses may arrive in 2015. Guitarist Richard Fortus said in a recent interview with Associated Press at the Revolver Golden God Awards in Los Angeles that his group was working on new material and planning to release it soon.

"We are working on stuff and hopefully very soon we're going to have new stuff out. Well, in the next year," said Fortus. Fellow member DJ Ashba then added, "Everybody in the band is like writers. We all have our home studios. We all record ideas and pass them around. It's that type of vibe."

"We're going to be in [Las] Vegas all together, so hopefully during that time we're going to be able to get in a room and start laying down some more stuff," Fortus continued, referring to the band's upcoming residency at the Sin City's Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The residency will open on May 21.

Guns N' Roses released their latest album, "Chinese Democracy", in 2008. Prior to the record, the band hadn't put out new music since 1993's "The Spaghetti Incident?".

During the Golden God Awards, Guns N' Roses' frontman Axl Rose received the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award. The band then performed with original member Duff McKagan filling in for new bassist Tommy Stinson, who was absent because he was busy with his other band the Replacements.
