Lindsay Lohan's OWN Reality Show NOT Canceled
TV

A representative for the network says the rumors are untrue while sources say the show is not exactly renewed either.

Lindsay Lohan's reality show is not canceled despite reports saying so. It is a matter of point of view because OWN never planned to order beyond eight episodes, the last of which will air on Sunday, April 20.

The report of cancellation first came from Mail Online which claimed that poor ratings were to blame. What initially thought to be a show/documentary turned out to be a "meltdown." Oprah Winfrey reportedly was tired of hearing her stories from other media outlets and was disappointed that she never told her about it on "Lindsay".

Lohan was also blamed for not promoting the show properly with the show attracting less than 700,000 viewers in its premiere. "Oprah will tell Lindsay later this month that her show won't be reappearing for in the future," an insider told Mail Online. "First and foremost, the ratings were an absolute disaster."

The source continued, "OWN saw the Lindsay show as a possible long term hit series. And Oprah was hoping that it would chart her time from coming out of rehab to making it back into the A list movie ranks." Oprah had stopped sending her crew to film Lohan attending Coachella Music Fest after she allegedly had some drink.

In response to the report, a rep for the network told E! Online, "Rumors that it is being canceled are untrue." A source close to Lohan added, "The intention was always to do eight episodes. The show is not being canceled." Regarding the show's ratings, it actually hit the women 18 - 34 demographic well.
