J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" films will be paired with live symphony orchestra in a series of concerts. A six-city tour that kicks off May 24 in Europe has just been announced. It will also stop by San Diego, California to coincide with the annual Comic-Con.

Fans are going to be treated to a live orchestra performing the score composed by Michael Giacchino for 2009's "Star Trek" and 2013's "Star Trek Into Darkness" while the two films from the rebooted series are displayed on screen.

"The events will celebrate the extraordinary collaboration between film and music as Michael Giacchino's scores are brought to life on stage," said organizers that include Paramount Pictures and 21st Century Symphony Orchestra.

The first show will take place at KKL Concert Hall in Lucerne, Switzerland and will run for two nights. It will next play at London at Royal Albert Hall from May 29 to May 31. The next stop is Jones Hall in Houston, Texas on July 18 and 19.

The San Diego gig will be held at Embarcadero Marina Park South on July 26 before it leaves for Mann Center on July 31 and finally comes to Sony Centre in Toronto, Canada on March 21, 2015.
