Emil De Leon surprises himself and host Pat Sajack for solving a puzzle with just two letters on the board.

AceShowbiz - "Lucky" may be the only word that can describe what happened to "Wheel of Fortune" contestant Emil De Leon on the show Wednesday, March 19. He made a correct guess with just two letters on the board, and won $45,000.

In the final round of the episode taped in January, Emil had to solve a three-word puzzle with a hint: it's a thing. The first two letters of the first word were "N" and "E". Emil was given 10 seconds to answer it, and he correctly guessed "New baby buggy" with his first attempt.

Emil looked genuinely surprised as he celebrated the win with his friends. Host Pat Sajak was also stunned, playfully patting the player down. He later tweeted, "Tonight's 'Wheel of Fortune' features most amazing solve in my 30+ years on the show. No kidding." In another post, Pat wrote, "What made last night's solve amazing was the generic category. Could have been 'new anything.' But 'baby buggy?!' Wow!"

Emil, who is a nursing student, took to his own Twitter to express his feelings, "Words can't explain how I feel right now. Thanks to everyone who watched @WheelofFortune tonight! It was a huge and unforgettable journey!" He tells TMZ that he was studying pediatrics back in January when the show was taped, so he had babies on his mind when he made the lucky guess.
