Karen O is the latest musician who has been added to the line-up of performers at the upcoming Academy Awards. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs' frontwoman is set to sing her track called "The Moon Song" at the event that will be held on March 2.

The song was co-written by O and Spike Jonze for acclaimed movie "Her", which was directed by the latter. Earlier this week, the songstress released a new version of the track featuring Vampire Weekend's lead singer Ezra Koenig.

O joins previously-announced Oscar performers that include Pharrell Williams, Idina Menzel and U2 who will perform "Happy" from "Despicable Me 2", "Let It Go" from "Frozen (2013)" and "Ordinary Love" from "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" respectively. The four songs to be performed at the event are currently up against one another for the Best Original Song award.

Of being nominated in the category, O recently said, "It's wild because 'The Moon Song' was written and recorded in the most humble of circumstances; at my dining room table, a few paces away from the couch I read the script for 'Her' for the first time."

This year's Oscars will be aired on ABC from the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.
