A grim tale of revenge is previewed in a teaser trailer for David Michod-directed crime drama "The Rover". Set in a dangerous near future in the Australian desert, it follows Guy Pearce's Eric who goes to any lengths to take back the one thing that matters to him.
Eric travels the desolate towns and roads of the Australian outback, leaving everything behind. When a gang of dangerous criminals stole his last possession, he set off a hunt to find them and dragged wounded gang member Rey (Robert Pattinson) along with him.
"The feeling that you have when you wake up in the morning. When your feet touch the floor. Or before that, when you're lying there thinking about your feet hitting the floor. What feeling do you have? What does that feel like for you?" Eric narrates the sneak peek that sets a tense tone.
The film is expected to hit theaters later this year.
