AceShowbiz - A trailer for Disney's live-action "Maleficent" has arrived online, featuring some new footage including the moment when Elle Fanning's Sleeping Beauty is about to be awakened with a kiss by her Prince (Brenton Thwaites). It also teases a scene where Angelina Jolie's evil witch visits the king and casts her spell on an infant Princess Aurora.
The film explores the origins story of the iconic villain from a beautiful, pure-hearted young woman who turns into a cold-stoned sorceress due to a ruthless betrayal. Hell bent on revenge, she faces an epic battle with the invading king's successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn daughter.
Helmed by first-timed director Robert Stromberg, the dark fantasy film is slated to hit theaters nationwide on May 30, 2014. Juno Temple and Peter Capaldi are among the supporting cast members.
