John Legend Set to Perform at Governors Ball

The R'n'B singer will perform for 1,500 guests in the Ray Dolby Ballroom on the top level of the Hollywood and Highland Center on Sunday, March 2.

AceShowbiz - John Legend has been announced as a performer at the Governors Ball a.k.a. post-Oscars party. The event will be held on Sunday, March 2 in the Ray Dolby Ballroom on the top level of the Hollywood & Highland Center.

"John Legend is one of the industry's most innovative and talented artists," said Jeffrey Kurland, costume design branch governor and chair of the Governors Ball. "We're thrilled he will be joining us to celebrate this year's achievements in film, and for what promises to be a most memorable evening."

Legend received eight Grammy nominations for his acclaimed debut album, 2004's "Get Lifted", and won Best R&B album award. Additionally, he won Best New Artist of the Year and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for his hit single "Ordinary People".

The singer's latest album, "Love in the Future", is now up for Best R&B Album at the upcoming Grammy Awards. Some of Legend's songs have also been featured in the soundtracks of films like "Waiting for "Superman" ", "Think Like a Man" and "Django Unchained".
