Olivia Palermo is engaged to marry her boyfriend Johannes Huebl. The German model shared the engagement news in an Instagram video on Wednesday, January 1 during their vacation in St. Barts. "Happy New Year to everybody and this is how we celebrate it: OP said YES," Huebl captioned the post.

The short clip shows the socialite and star of "The City" wearing a white dress as she makes her way among the palm trees. Palermo flashes her engagement ring in the clip while Emma Louise's "Jungle" blasts in the background.

Palermo and Huebl met through mutual friends and started dating in 2008. "She is completely different than she's been portrayed on her job, everyone who meets her - especially with me - is surprised about her happiness, and her friendliness and smiles," Huebl said in an interview with Elle in 2010, referring to her villain character on "The City".

"I think that we grow together. I think that I'm constantly learning, and we're both eager to learn about not only each other, but our interests," he added. "I think we have a very conservative, old romantic, private approach to our love."
