Actor Rockmond Dunbar and his wife Maya have become parents to a baby daughter. The "Sons of Anarchy" actor's wife gave birth to their first child on Friday, December 6, a representative for the star told PEOPLE. The baby girl weighed 8 lbs., 9 oz and measured 20.5 inches long.

The actor also took to Twitter to share the happy news. "Mom is doing great," he announced. "We are absolutely in LOVE with our daughter." The actor, who also took part in "The Mentalist", attached a photo of him holding the baby's hand in the post. Dunbar and his wife named their daughter Berkeley Seon Dunbar.

The actor, who played C-Note on "Prison Break", shared his new experience in another Twitter post. "New Daddy facts! Changed 50 diapers. Drove 45mph on the 405hwy without traffic. Slept 11hrs in 3 days. Spent 56 hours just looking at Baby," he wrote.

Dunbar's friends from "The Mentalist" delighted the new father by decorating his trailer with balloons and congratulatory messages. On December 9, he shared a photo with a caption which read, "I love my @Mentalist_CBS family!!" A photo on the left side shows the trailer's door which is adorned with pink balloons. A photo in the middle, meanwhile, features a poster which reads, "Congrats papa Rock!" The other photo shows more pink balloons on a black sofa.
