AceShowbiz - Hilary Rhoda is engaged to her boyfriend Sean Avery. The supermodel and the former NHL star, who have been dating on-and-off since 2010, confirmed their engagement in a statement to PEOPLE. "We are excited to plan the most beautiful and fun wedding that we could ever imagine," the couple said.
On Tuesday, November 12, Rhoda was spotted taking a stroll in New York City. She wore a leopard-print coat, black leggings and boots. The model also wore her new engagement ring. Flashing her smile to photographers, Rhoda answered some questions.
"It was just really romantic and sweet. I was surprised," she told Us Weekly of her engagement to Avery. Rhoda added that she and her fiance had not decided their wedding date. "Right now we're just enjoying this part," Rhoda explained, adding that it was "very exciting." A source, however, said that the couple was thinking of getting married in Jamaica.
Avery played for the Detroit Red Wings, the Los Angeles Kings, the Dallas Stars and the New York Rangers during his career at the NHL. Rhoda, meanwhile, is probably best known for her work with Estee Lauder. In addition, she appeared on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Rhoda also walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York City on November 13.
