The adaptation of A.J. Lieberman and Nick Thornborrow's novel will now be financed by QED International and Worldview.

Vince Vaughn's crime drama "Term Life" is happening. After being canned by Universal a few weeks ago, the film is now picked up by QED International and Worldview as financiers and producers. Universal will handle its domestic distribution.
Based on the graphic novel by A.J. Lieberman and Nick Thornborrow, the film will center on a man whom everybody, from mob bosses, hit men and dirty cops, wants dead. He takes out a million-dollar policy so his daughter will be taken care of financially. Now he has to try to stay alive because his life insurance policy doesn't take effect for 21 days.
Vaughn will take on the key role and serves as one of the producers. "Romeo and Juliet" star Hailee Steinfeld will portray his on-screen daughter. Peter Billingsley is tapped to direct the film, with the script provided by Lieberman. Production is expected to begin sometime in 2014.
