A rep for the Rolling Stones rocker says perhaps Perry 'is confusing him with someone else,' in response to her claim that he made a pass at her when she did backing vocals for him years ago.

AceShowbiz - Mick Jagger set the record straight on the report that he hit on a young Katy Perry years ago. The "Roar" hitmaker, now 29, claimed The Rolling Stones' member flirted with her when she was 18, but he insisted the incident never happened.

"Mick Jagger categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry," a representative for the 70-year-old rocker says in a statement. "Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else."

Before getting her big break in 2007 with her single "I Kissed a Girl", Perry served as backup singer for some of the biggest stars in Hollywood including Jagger. She worked with him on his hit "Old Habits Die Hard" and even went out to dinner with him.

"I actually went to dinner with [Jagger] one time, and he hit on me when I was like 18!" she opened up in an interview with Australian DJs, Ash, Kip & Luttsy, on Nova FM. "That was a long time ago, and he's been very kind."

When asked how she turned down the rocker's advances, the girlfriend of John Mayer spilled, "Well you bring a friend and then they do them!" jokingly adding, "You sacrifice your friend."

Perry was one of the guests on The Rolling Stones' tour this year.
