The first look at "Doctor Who" 50th anniversary special has been obtained in the form of pictures. Making their way out online, one of the images shows three Doctors, played by Matt Smith, David Tennant and John Hurt, together.

The three actors are also featured separately in other photos. Jenna Coleman and Jemma Redgrave, who plays the Brigadier's daughter Kate Stewart, meanwhile, get the spotlight in another image which captures them in what seems to be a serious situation.

Titled "The Day of the Doctor", the 50th anniversary special will feature the current Doctor (Smith), the tenth Doctor (Tennant) and the previous more sinister incarnation of the Doctor (Hurt). Billie Piper, who played the tenth Doctor's companion Rose Tyler, will also return.

Plot details of the 75-minute special are still kept under wraps. When asked on "The Jonathan Ross Show" what the episode would be about, Smith coyly said, "Paintings."

"The Day of the Doctor" will air simultaneously in countries around the world on November 23. The British Royal will celebrate the show's anniversary ahead of its 50th birthday with a party at Buckingham Palace hosted by the Countess of Wessex on November 18.
