Rock band Mazzy Star comes back with a new album, "Seasons of Your Day". Co-written and co-produced by lead singer Hope Sandoval and guitarist David Roback, the follow-up to 1996's "Among My Swan" is set to be released on September 24 via their own Rhymes of an Hour Records.

The 10-track album was recorded in Norway and California. It will feature performances from the band's original members as well as My Bloody Valentine's Colm O Ciosoig and late Scottish musician Bert Jansch. Jansch can be heard on a guitar duet with Roback.

Following the new album announcement, Mazzy Star released a new single called "California". Accompanying music video is expected to drop in August. Preceded by 2011 singles "Common Burn" and "Lay Myself Down", "California" serves as the first official single off the upcoming album.

Mazzy Star will soon be announcing a set of North American and European tour dates for this fall.
