Rogers Communications is no longer supporting Energy Rush summer spectacular after the addition of the 'Fine China' singer got mixed reactions from public.

A sponsor cut ties with a Canadian summer concert after Chris Brown tapped as one of performers. The company, Rogers Communications, decided to no longer support the gig after Twitter backlashes erupted on Twitter and Facebook slamming the singer addition to the lineup.
"I'm looking into this with our sponsorship team. Thanks for bringing it to our attention," a rep for the telecommunication giant first said, before the company later announced their decision, "Rogers agreed to sponsor Energy Rush prior to Chris Brown's choice as a performer...In light of today's announcement, we're withdrawing our sponsorship of the event."
Nova Scotia radio station Energy 103.5, which hosts the upcoming concert, hasn't released a statement on the matter. Chris also stayed mum, but he posted a series of cryptic messages that seemed to brush off his critics. "Change the world. Don't let the world change you," he wrote, adding, "Bulls**t!"
The gig, Energy Rush, is scheduled for August 31 this year. Actually, not all fans' reactions are negative. One Twitter user wrote in Chris' defense, "You all need to chill.. Just because he's done some bad things doesn't mean we can't like his music. It's a concert, it's not like we're praising him. Honestly get over it."
