Mary J. Blige is facing a new financial issue. The "Be Without You" hitmaker is sued by the Internal Revenue Service for owing $3.4M in unpaid taxes. TMZ reports she failed to pay income taxes totaling around $574,000 in 2009, $2.2M in 2010, and $674,000 in 2011.

This adds to Mary J's list of problems. She still owes $901,000 to the state of New Jersey in back taxes. She also has outstanding debts stemming from lawsuits against her charity for failing to pay back several bank loans including a hefty $2.2M taken out from Signature Bank.

When responding to her financial problems last year, the singer blamed her staff for mismanagement. "The problem is that I didn't have the right people in the right places doing the right things," she said in a statement back then.

"Mary has been and is continuing to work with her new team to resolve all these issues as quickly as possible," her rep said.
