Hospitalized Jeanne Cooper Is in Better Condition

The 'Young and the Restless' actress's son, 'Psych' actor Corbin Bernsen, reports that her mother's breathing apparatus has been removed.

AceShowbiz - After being hospitalized at a Los Angeles hospital since Friday, April 12 for an unspecific illness, Jeanne Cooper showed a significant improvement on Tuesday, April 16. Her son, Corbin Bernsen, who has been sharing updates on Jeanne's condition, wrote on Twitter, "Just heard HUGE progress with my mom today. Breathing apparatus has been removed so now onto underlying issues. Your prayers are healing!"

On his Facebook page, he also thanked fans for their prayers for his mom. "The hurdles that have been jumped by my mom, fueled by your prayers and well wishes and love, support so much of what I've come to believe and have been trying to share in the last few years," he wrote. "Please keep my mom in your thoughts, but reach out to others and let's build this incredible force and spread your love and prayers between her and those needing it most today."

On Friday afternoon, Corbin reported that his mother was in critical condition. He tweeted, "Need some prayers for my mom tonight. Not doing great. I don't believe it is the end of her journey, but still a very uphill battle."

The next day, Jeanne's "The Young and the Restless" co-stars and friends from CBS sent their prayers to the actress who plays Katherine Chancellor on the network's soap opera. "Will everyone join me in sending love, strength and healthy vibes to Jeanne Cooper this morning?" Greg Rikaart tweeted.

"Our thoughts, prayers and love are with Jeanne Cooper and her family as she rests and recovers," Angelica McDaniel joined Greg sending her well-wish to the 84-year-old actress.
