Actor and comedian Kevin Hart was pulled over and got arrested on Sunday, April 14, for suspicion of DUI. Hart drove his black car as fast as 90 miles per hour and nearly collided with a gas tanker truck. California Highway Patrol Officer Ed Jacobs said that the comedian seemed to be intoxicated when he was stopped on Highway 101.

The police arrested him for DUI misdemeanor after he was "unable to perform field sobriety tests." Another passenger in Hart's car was sent home in a taxi. Hart was held under custody on $5,000 bond, but he was released later. According to TMZ, Hart admitted to the police that he was drunk.

The "This Is The End" actor took to Twitter to talk about his first run-in with the law after he was released. "I'm officially a thug, I spent 6hrs in jail last night. I got pulled over 3blocks from my house by a d**k head cop. This cop was the worst, he knew who I was & wanted to make a example out of me," he wrote.

He added, "I did 6,000 push ups & 13,000 sit ups while I was in the pin. Shout out to my celly 'Mark' we exchanged war stories LMFAO... When the cop asked me to take the sobriety test I said, 'WHY WASTE OUR TIME...I'M DRUNK MAN.' #TrueStory."

Hart addressed the drunk-driving issue seriously in his next tweet. "On some real s**t....drinking & driving is not a game or a laughing matter. People have lost lives because of stupid s**t this! This is a wake up call for me, I have to be smarter & last night I wasn't. Everything happens for a reason," he said.
