R 'n' B/pop crooner Usher is the latest addition to the performers lined up for the April 18 induction ceremony of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to be held in Los Angeles. The 34-year-old entertainer will perform at the 28th annual gala for inductee Quincy Jones when the mega record producer is honored along with seven other artists at the Nokia Theatre.

Usher joins the list composed of legendary rocker Carole King, who will sing for Lou Adler when the record producer is inducted by comedy duo Cheech and Chong. Pearl Jam's Mike McCready and Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell will perform with honorees Heart while Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson will sing in memory of disco queen Donna Summer.

California rock veterans John Fogerty and Jackson Browne will play with this year's new Hall of Famer Randy Newman when the musician is presented by Eagles' founding member Don Henley. Two-time Oscar nominee Spike Lee teams up with two-time Grammy winner Harry Belafonte to induct hip-hop group Public Enemy who will perform along with them.

"Sound City" documentary maker Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins will present iconic Canadian prog-rock outfit Rush who will rock the stage with the Foo Fighters duo. Blues singer John Mayer and guitarist Gary Clark Jr. will perform in homage to the late blues guitarist Albert King, with Mayer giving the speech. More performers and presenters will be revealed in coming weeks.
