Hyping up the upcoming premiere of "The Following", FOX has released a new promo for the rookie series. While it doesn't include footage from the show, the video does highlight the storyline in which a former FBI agent will stop at nothing in his pursuit of a diabolical serial killer.
Having captured the notorious criminal, Joe Carroll (James Purefoy), years ago, former agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) is contacted by FBI when Carroll escapes from death row and embarks on a new killing spree. Using special technology, Carroll is creating a cult of serial killers.
Coming from the creator and executive producers of "Dawson's Creek" and "The Vampire Diaries", Kevin Williamson, "The Following" also has the likes of Jeananne Goossen, Shawn Ashmore and Natalie Zea supporting its cast ensemble. The thriller series is scheduled to premiere Monday, January 21, 2013 at 9/8c on FOX.
