Following its massive success on box office, "The Hunger Games" will get a parody treatment by spoofmeisters Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. The duo behind 2006's parody flick "Date Movie" is developing a comedic take on the hit movie called "The Starving Games".

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the spoof film has already found its version of Katniss Everdeen, who was made famous by Jennifer Lawrence in the original version. Being called Kantmiss Evershot, the female lead character in the parody will be portrayed by Maiara Walsh.

Walsh will be joined by "Pretty Little Liars" star Brant Daugherty, who has been cast as the spoof version of Liam Hemsworth's Gale Hawthorne. Friedberg and Seltzer will pen the script in addition to tackling the helming duty. They will kick off the production this week in New Orleans.

It is said that "The Starving Games" will also poke fun at such blockbuster movies as "The Avengers", "Sherlock Holmes" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" in addition to the big screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' novel.

As for Maiara Walsh, this will likely be her first stint in a parody film as she's better known for her roles in drama TV series. She starred as Simone Sinclair on "Switched at Birth" and appeared on such series as "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "The Vampire Diaries". She also played Eva Longoria's niece on "Desperate Housewives".
