The former boxing champion may not appear in New Zealand and Australia for 'Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth' after objection from the Prime Minister.

AceShowbiz - Mike Tyson may not get a visa to enter New Zealand and Australia to conduct his speaking tour because of his 1992 rape conviction. NZ's Prime Minister John Key has spoken out against his visit to the country and the Life Education Trust charity has withdrawn its support of the event.
"Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth" is scheduled to stop by Down Under in November. Australia has the policy of blocking anyone with criminal record from getting visas, but Tyson's application is actually still being considered. Tyson's crime was raping an 18-year-old woman in a hotel room and he served three years in prison for it.
Event promoter Max Markson is still crossing his fingers that the ban will be lifted. Tickets for the appearances in NZ and five major cities in Australia are still being sold but will be subject to refund if the shows are canceled. "He'll only be in the country for 20 hours, I don't think he's a danger to anybody, and thousands of people want to see him," Markson said.
