While Tom Cruise is shooting 'Oblivion' in California, Katie and Suri continue to spend some mother/daughter quality time in New York City.

Katie Holmes took her daughter to the Central Park Zoo, a few days after reaching divorce settlement with her estranged husband Tom Cruise. The mother/daughter duo checked out some animals at the Central Park Zoo in Midtown, Manhattan on July 11.

Katie dressed for comfort in a white short-sleeved top, jeans and camel-colored boots. 6-year-old Suri mirrored her mother's casual look in a cute red-and-white striped number and red flat shoes. They were accompanied by Katie's mother Kathleen Holmes and two burly bodyguards.

The former "Dawson's Creek" star "was smiling and laughing with her little daughter," an eyewitness told Us Weekly. Another passerby said of Suri, "She was standing on the ledge with her face pressed to the glass. When a penguin swam up, Suri screamed playfully, and she and Katie laughed."

Katie has lived in New York with Suri since she filed for divorce from Tom and sought sole custody of the kid last June 28. In a settlement over the weekend, she reportedly is granted primary custody of their little girl with generous visitation by the "Oblivion" actor.

Before the estranged couple reached the win-win solution, Suri allegedly spoke with her father by phone at least once a day. The actor is expected to see her daughter as soon as he finishes filming his new movie in Mammoth, California.
