Andrew Lincoln teases there will be samurai-wielding characters, adding that the pace of the upcoming season is 'darker, harder, faster, deeper.'

AceShowbiz - The first look at "The Walking Dead" season 3 has been provided in a form of behind-the-scene video. Compiling montage of the cast and crew on the set of the show, it offers a glimpse inside a prison featured in the season 2 finale which will be the survivors' safe haven in the next chapter.

In an interview, Laurie Holden who plays Andrea says there are new characters, "some that have been announced, some that have not." Lead actor Andrew Lincoln chimes in, "There are samurai wielding characters that are turning up."

Gushing about the pace in the season 3, the Rick Grimes depicter claims it "is darker, harder, faster, deeper... It's incredibly dangerous, and it's thrilling." Additionally, Norman Reedus who portrays Daryl Dixon dishes, "People start losing their minds, love blossoms and a whole lot of gross zombie kills."

The upcoming third season of "Walking Dead" will debut this fall. Sword-wielding heroine Michonne (Danai Gurira), who was introduced in the last episode of the previous season, will be part of the story. Moreover, David Morrissey has been cast as The Governor.
