The black-and-white poster features tuxedo-clad Daniel Craig striking a pose in the iconic gun-barrel scene of the 007 film franchise.

AceShowbiz - Building the anticipation to the U.S. release of "Skyfall", Columbia Pictures reveals the very first poster for the 23rd James Bond movie. Instead of featuring Daniel Craig's lead character in a modern take, the one-sheet goes way back as it showcases the tuxedo-clad agent in the iconic gun-barrel scene.

James Bond movie franchise is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. As a part of the celebration, Columbia would make "Skyfall" the first Bond film to be released in IMAX. Back in February, the studio announced, "It is fitting that with 'Skyfall' marking the 50th Anniversary of the James Bond franchise, we celebrate in epic style and what could be more larger-than-life than IMAX joining the festivities."

"Skyfall", which is due to open in the U.S. on November 9, will find Bond in a troublesome situation as his loyalty to M is tested when her past comes back to haunt her. Craig returns as the British agent after tackling the prestigious role in "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace". He will be joined by Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Albert Finney, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris.
