The first look at young Carrie Bradshaw as portrayed by AnnaSophia Robb has surfaced. On Wednesday, March 21, the 18-year-old actress was snapped on the set of "The Carrie Diaries" sporting blonde curly hair to play the younger version of the character, which was made famous by Sarah Jessica Parker in "Sex and the City" franchise.

During the first day production of The CW's pilot in New York, the Leslie Burke of "Bridge to Terabithia" donned a baggy red jumper with grey stripes, matched with a knee-length denim skirt. Her face looked natural with minimal make-up. In between takes, she wore brown boots and a blue jacket to keep herself warm.

Also spotted on the set were Ellen Wong who plays Carrie's best friend Jill "The Mouse" Thompson, and Stefania Owen who is cast as Carrie's 14-year-old sister Dorrit.

"The Carrie Diaries", which is based on Candace Bushnell's novel of the same title, will follow Carrie in her younger ages, when she asks her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan. Miguel Arteta is tapped to direct the pilot with Bushnell, Amy Harris, Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Len Goldstein serving as executive producers.

Robb recently revealed that she's got support from Parker to play young Carrie. The "Race to Witch Mountain" actress shared, "She sent me a letter! I wrote her one back, too. She was just very encouraging about it all. It was really cool!"
