During the Super Bowl XLVI telecast on Sunday, February 5. Madonna did not only grace the small screen with her halftime performance, but also with her stint on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" commercial. The simple promo highlights an awkward encounter between the Material Girl and the late-night talk show's host.
Jay Leno seems trying to be cool when Madge enters the same elevator he's in, exchanging a short "hi" with the "Give Me All Your Luvin' " hitmaker. The 61-year-old host, however, is left embarrassed when his phone plays Madge's "Like a Virgin" as the ring tone. As her reaction, the "Vogue" songstress rolls her eyes and says, "Really?"
Beside the "Tonight Show" promo, Leno also makes a brief appearance in NBC's musically-themed Super Bowl ad. The stand-up comedian is additionally featured alongside Jerry Seinfeld in Acura NSX ad that aired during the football championship.
