An extended preview for the next episode of "Grey's Anatomy" has been debuted, sharing the first 10 minutes of the alt-reality edition. It all begins as Meredith, after putting Zola to bed and going to sleep, wonders what life would've been if her mother had never had Alzheimer's and she'd had a good dad.
In the alternate universe she imagines, Mer lives with her mother Ellis, who is married to Richard. Mer is also engaged to Alex, while Addison is still with Derek and pregnant. Callie and Owen have three kids together, whom they bring to the Seattle Grace that day. Cristina, meanwhile, is a person who is not likable.
"If/Then" will air on Thursday, February 2 at 9/8c on ABC. Kate Burton reprises her role as Ellis, and Kate Walsh, who is now headlining "Private Practice", returns to "Grey's" as Addison.
