Instead of hyping his new studio album, T.I. prefers to promote his upcoming mixtape. The Atlanta rapper, who has just been out of jail, gives his devotees a look at behind the scene of the street album's creative process in a form of a new trailer.

The clip highlights one of his studio sessions with none other than powerhouse producer/rapper Dr. Dre. While the "Dead and Gone" hitmaker is seen laying his verses over some infectious beat in the studio booth, the "I Need a Doctor" MC is standing behind the mixing table.

The mixtape is confirmed to be released on New Year. "Breaking News! Its official...I'm puttin out a mixtape midnight Jan.1 2012 called #F*ckdacityup Wanna be the 1st thing yall hear nxt year," Tip once informed his Twitter followers about the due date.

In addition to that, he is also crafting a joint project with fellow Atlanta rapper B.o.B. Following the footsteps of Eminem & Royce da 5'9" and Kanye West & Jay-Z, they are reportedly making a duet CD under the title "The Man & The Martian".

Earlier before the announcement, he said, "I'm flirting with the idea of putting out a mixtape, and I haven't completely decided but that's definitely not for a lack of material. The problem is that when I do a mixtape, I dive all the way in. I put so much stuff on there [mixtapes] and people say'no! hold that for the album, but I put it on there anyway so I've got to really wrap my mind around that idea."
