The newly-released song is recorded for Howie's upcoming solo studio album '100' which is due November 14.

AceShowbiz - Howie Dorough is gearing up to introduce his solo effort now that Backstreet Boys are on a break after touring across North America with New Kids On The Block. The 38-year-old boybander has unleashed via EW the first taste to the upcoming album in a form of a brand new song called "Lie to Me".

The synth ballad track is confirmed to be listed in Howie's forthcoming album titled "100" which is set for U.S. release on November 14. "At the time [I was putting the album together]," he said, "I was really in this positive place in life, had lots of energy, between Backstreet-New Kids and my family."

"So a lot of the album is dance and up-tempo [music]. But there's definitely also the crooner ballads that people would know me for. For me, it felt right to go in this direction rather to go in a direction that I just wasn't at," he went on. "I think sometimes when you try to do that, you don't give fans your best."
