'SNL' Host Alec Baldwin Gets Surprise Visit From 'Rival' Steve Martin
TV

Martin did the unthinkable only to prove that the guy who just beat his hosting record did not cheat by using steroids.

AceShowbiz - The "Saturday Night Live" team has obviously prepared to the max its 37th season opener and Alec Baldwin's 16th time hosting. For the monologue alone, they invited over Steve Martin whose record of hosting the show was beaten by Baldwin, and also Seth Rogen who was there to assist Martin on popularity check.

Baldwin was on full energy opening the variety show when suddenly his "It's Complicated" co-star and Rogen entered. Martin was suspicious whether Baldwin used performance-enhancing drugs such as steroid that night so he brought in a medical team to test Baldwin's urine sample. The continuation managed to make the audience squirm.

As host, Baldwin took part in most of the skits including a new one called "Who's on Top?". It's a fake game show hosted by Bill Hader who asks the contestants who would be the "top" if a series of straight male stars were hypothetically gay. Hearing the rules, Jason Sudeikis bailed out before the game even started. Baldwin beat Vanessa Brayer and correctly named the men in the final round.

Radiohead were the musical guest, performing "King of Limbs" single "Lotus Flower" and the unreleased track "Staircase".
