Clark Gregg Has Encounter With Thugs in New Marvel Short 'Funny Thing'
Movie

Take a look at what funny thing happening to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson after he left Tony Stark in 'Iron Man 2' and drove to the crater site in 'Thor'.

AceShowbiz - In an attempt to tide fans over before the release of its much-awaited star-studded movie "The Avengers", Marvel has planned to release a "one-shot" series. Kicking it off with a clip titled "The Consultant" which came out last month, the studio now drops another one called "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer".

Both of the short videos star Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson who has appeared in both "Iron Man" movies and "Thor", and will return once again in the "Avengers". While the previous one features Coulson having a discussion with fellow Agent Jasper Sitwell, this latest clip previews the S.H.I.E.L.D. member facing thugs.

"The Consultant" is included in newly-released "Thor" blu-ray. It fills the gap between the movie and "The Incredible Hulk". Meanwhile, the "Funny Thing" is expected to be attached to "Captain America: The First Avenger" DVD. It follows Coulson in his journey from leaving Tony Stark in "Iron Man 2" to reaching the crater site in "Thor".

In this clip, Coulson is seen making a stop at a convenient store. While he's in the middle of making up his mind about choosing between powdered or frosted donuts, two thugs are shouting to the patron and demanding to know who the owner of the car parking outside the store is. When he offers answer to the question, one of the armed guys quickly aims his weapon to him.

Talking about the shorts, Gregg once said, "I got a call from a rising young executive over at Marvel named Kevin Feige to talk about the Avengers. In that conversation he said they had this crazy idea. They want to do some shorts about a couple of different days in the life of Agent Coulson. Some connective tissue between the movies."
