In the spirit of remembering September 11 attack which killed and injured many innocent people, "American Idol" alum Pia Toscano performed "God Bless America" at Citi Field. The 22-year-old New Yorker sang the patriotic song during the 7th Inning Stretch at Sunday's Mets vs Chicago Cubs game.

"So honored to be back at Citifield for the 10th anniversary of September 11th.. Tune in to my performance of God Bless America live on ESPN," she tweeted. "Amazing night. Love my Mets..Love my family and friends..Missing mom dad and kim.Miss my grandpas.. Thankful 4 my life. Never Forget.. 911."

Elsewhere, another "Idol" graduate David Cook took part in a similar special 9/11 remembrance ceremony held during a football game. The 2008 winner of the singing competition belted out the National Anthem, "Star-Spangled Banner", before the Kansas City Chiefs home opener.
