MTV continue to unleash another sneak peek from "The Hunger Games" as part of their treat before 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. Like the previous teaser revealed a day prior, this new one is also super short in length, and shows Katniss and no one else in the Arena.

Having no bow and arrows, the brunette is seen taking a flight and running away from danger. What she is fleeing from will be revealed when a longer footage is presented by Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the heroine in the movie, during the awards show on August 28.

Adapted from Suzanne Collins' best-selling novel of the same name, the film is set in the apocalyptic of America which is divided into 12 districts controlled by a tyrant government. It follows Katniss as she volunteers to take her little sister's place in a fight-to-the-death annual event called the Hunger Games.

Beside playing the leading lady, Jennifer will also lend her voice to the movie's soundtrack. She will sing "Rue's Lullaby", a tear-jerking tune she sings to her dying friend in the Arena. "It was beautiful," composer T-Bone Burnett said. "She did great. She's singing great. Killer actor too."

The film is scheduled to grace U.S. theaters on March 23, 2012. Starring Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson as Katniss' suitors, it is reportedly planned as a trilogy just like the book series. Although the first movie is still far away from hitting theaters, its follow-up titled "Catching Fire" has already got an official release date. The sequel is set for 2013 Thanksgiving weekend on November 22.
