A fresh trailer of Brad Pitt-starring true-life drama "Moneyball" has been available on the web. Although it mostly contains scenes which have been shared in the first trailer, the fresh video still includes some never-before-seen footage, including the one where Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman's Art Howe finally speaks his line as a manager of Oakland Athletics.
Based on a novel called "Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game" by Michael M. Lewis, the movie captures the true story of Billy Beane, a general manager of the Oakland A's who dreams of taking on the system, because he believes that all of baseball's conventional wisdom is wrong.
Beane is forced to revitalize his team with tight budget. Therefore, he must outsmart the richer clubs. To achieve his goal, he teams up with Ivy League grad Peter Brand, played by Jonah Hill, in an unlikely partnership. They recruit bargain players that the scouts call flawed, but all of whom have an ability to get on base, score runs and win games.
The movie is directed by Bennet Miller, who also worked together with Hoffman in 2005's Oscar-nominated biopic "Capote". Meanwhile, the script is penned by Oscar-winning scribes Aaron Sorkin and Steven Zaillians.
Columbia Pictures will bring this movie to theaters across the U.S. starting September 23, near the end of the 2011 baseball season.
