Adam West, the star of the 1966's Batman television series, has been rumored to appear in "The Dark Knight Rises". The cameo report became more persistent after the movie vet was spotted around the shooting location of the superhero movie in Nottingham.

"Has anyone else spotted Adam West knocking around in Nottingham? I'd heard the rumours that he was appearing in a small role in the new Batman film, but didn't really believe it until today when I saw him in a pub near Woolaton (sic) Hall," a local named Steve Oliver shared on Twitter.

Neither Warner Bros. nor director Christopher Nolan addresses the cameo rumor though. Both of them have been very secretive when it comes to the details of the follow-up to 2008's "The Dark Knight", including keeping the storyline under tight wraps.

As fans are itching to know more about the movie, a tidbit was out of the bag suggesting Batcopters, instead of a plane, are being prepared for the movie. " 'The Dark Knight Rises': Inside Info, they are Building 2 attack helicopters in the same design as the Bat Mobile from The Dark Knight! BOOM," tweeted a London-based boom operator Frederick Z. Roche.

While his Dark Knight alter ego might fly a chopper, Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne is expected to run errands around Gotham city in a Lamborghini Aventador. The two-seater silver sports car with a Gotham "6498227" plate was recently spotted in one of the movie's filming locations.
