"So You Think You Can Dance" host Cat Deeley has been booked to host the first Critics' Choice Television Awards. The prize-giving event is presented by newly-established Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), an offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association.

"Cat Deeley instantly puts our awards on the map, plus she ensures an entertaining and lively show," says Joey Berlin, acting-president of BTJA. The inaugural ceremony is set to take place at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20.

The show will be streamed live by VH1.com and rebroadcast in edited format by ReelzChannel several times starting June 22. The cable network will also present celebrity interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and an opportunity for fans to interact with celebrities backstage with its "fan-cam" stream.

Nominations for Critics' Choice TV Awards will be announced on June 6. Among the categories being competed are best comedy and drama series as well as most exciting new series.
