New 'Drive' Clip Sees Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan's First Meeting

AceShowbiz - A new clip from "Drive" has gone online. The video shows Ryan Gosling's Driver who meets Carey Mulligan's Irene for the first time. The preview also gives the first look at Bryan Cranston's Shannon. In the scene, Shannon tells Irene how he hired Gosling at his car shop.

The film, which will be premiered at 2011 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday night, May 19, follows a Hollywood stunt performer (Gosling) who moonlights as a wheelman and discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist goes wrong. Driver's first encounter with Irene leads to a trouble when Irene's husband, Oscar Isaac's Standard, is found bloodied and lying in the garage.

The action thriller film has Nicolas Winding Refn serve behind the lens, with Hossein Amini penning the script. Albert Brooks, Ron Perlman, and Kaden Leos are among other actors supporting the movie, which will have a limited release Stateside on September 16.
