The anticipation for "Gotti: Three Generations" is a notch higher now that Al Pacino is on board. The Oscar winner is to portray John Gotti's associate Neil Dellacroce who was given control of the traditional criminal activities in Manhattan by the Gambino family. John reportedly looks up to Neil.

Pacino would star opposite John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Joe Pesci and Lindsay Lohan. "Al Pacino is one of the finest actors of all time, and will bring an unsurpassed level of reality and excitement to the film," said Marc Fiore, executive producer and producer of the film. "We are very pleased to have Al join the extraordinary team that we are assembling to make this movie."

Fiore recently also announced that James Toback who worked with "Gotti" director Barry Levinson has been added to the team to re-write the script. Production is expected to star this fall in New York for a release in 2012.

Film will focus on the relationship of a father who lived and died by the mob code and a son who chose to leave that world behind and redeem himself. Travolta slips in the role of the mob leader.
