Despite initial fears of rain, the newlyweds are smiling and waving as they travel back to Buckingham Palace in an open-topped carriage following their nuptials.

AceShowbiz - Prince William and his new wife Kate Middleton have delighted gathering crowd with a full glimpse of their union on Friday afternoon, April 29. Emerging from Westminster Abbey after their wedding ceremony, the newlyweds traveled back to Buckingham Palace in an open-topped carriage, smiling and waving to those lining up along the streets.
Earlier that morning, the couple exchanged vows in front of guests that included David Beckham, Victoria Adams and Elton John. When Kate arrived at the altar of the church, William was seen telling her "You look beautiful". As the two exchanged smiles, the British prince winked at his father-in-law, Michael Middleton, and joked, "We're supposed to have just a small family affair."
For the service, the couple wrote a prayer themselves. "God our Father, we thank you for our families; for the love that we share and for the joy of our marriage," their prayer read. "In the busyness of each day keep our eyes fixed on what is real and important in life and help us to be generous with our time and love and energy. Strengthened by our union help us to serve and comfort those who suffer."
