New "Green Lantern" footage hits online. Warner Bros. Pictures has decided to share the footage, which is an abridged version to the one showed at CinemaCon, via Apple. One scene features Dr. Hector Hammond who transforms into an alien-like creature. Another scene sees Parallax attacking the Earth, sending Carol Ferris and other people to panic.

"Green Lantern" revolves around Hal Jordan, an ordinary man chosen by a dying alien named Abin Sur to receive a green energy-powered ring used for protecting the planet. As a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the universe, the fate of Earth lies in Hal's hands.

Ryan Reynolds portrays Hal Jordan with Blake Lively starring opposite him as Hal's love interest Carol Ferris. Mark Strong and Peter Sarsgaard take the villainous roles of Sinestro and Hector Hammond respectively.

Other stars playing in the movie are the likes of Temuera Morrison, Jon Tenney, and Angela Bassett. Geoffrey Rush serves as the voice cast for Tomar-Re. Directed by Martin Campbell, the action superhero movie is set to open wide in the U.S. on June 17.
