As previously reported, Lifetime was rushing the production of "William & Kate" so that the TV movie would be able to air around the Royal couple's April 29 wedding. The cable has now released the first sneak peek to the pic starring Nico Evers-Swindell as Prince William and Camilla Luddington as Kate Middleton.

Casting and shooting began in California last month with UCLA standing in as University of St. Andrews where the real couple met. The actors, according to Daily Mail, "put on a very affectionate display of cuddling and gazed adoringly into each other's eyes", a behavior which William and Kate actually never displayed in public.

Berkshire-born Luddington said she needed help from a dialect coach because her time in Los Angeles had left her with an American accent. "My dad was very excited for me to be playing an English role. He was, like, 'Remember you're British'," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

Meanwhile, Evers-Swindell admitted that the media attention to the film helped him to be in William's shoes. "I had an incredibly visceral sense of what, in a way, William and Harry go through. That sense of vulnerability hit straight away so it was quite informative from an actor's point of view," the New Zealand-born actor said.
