'True Blood' Casts a Werewolf Higher-in-Rank Than Alcide
TV

Daniel Buran will appear in a total of seven episodes in the middle of fourth season as a 'tough and intense' wolfpack master.

"True Blood" delves deeper into the werewolf business by casting an actor to be Alcide's "boss". In the latest report by TV Line, Michael Ausiello said Daniel Buran, who has appeared in such shows as "Criminal Minds" and "Southland", would take the role of Raoul aka "tough and intense packmaster of Shreveport."

Raoul is slipped into seven episodes of the upcoming fourth season. E! Online said his first appearance would be in episode 4.05 which is titled "I Hate You, I Love You." The fourth season meanwhile would begin in June this year, meaning the episode would air either in July or August.

Raoul apparently would be a big influence on Alcide's story, TV Guide hinted. Since his work with Eric is done, Alcide must abide to Raoul's interests which "diverge from those of Sookie". Regarding Alcide's relationship with Sookie, Joe Manganiello said, "Timing is everything and the timing between those two could not have been worse, so we'll see where the time goes in Season 4."
